"Held in the Last Light" Oil Painting on custom birch cradleboard · 16x12 in. by Canadian artist Theresa Eisenbarth. Painted with an embedded key.
Up on Aberdeen Street in Medicine Hat stands a house I have admired for a long time. Its yellow walls take on a warm glow in the fall light, and the late sun settles across the porch and the path before it fades. I wanted to hold on to that moment, the last warm light of the season, before the cold sets.
Every painting from the studio carries an embedded key, a symbol of memory and the stories a place holds. This one is a quiet reminder to notice the everyday homes around us, and the light that makes them feel like home.
Medium: Oil on gallery-depth birch cradleboard (2.75" deep, hand-built for quality and durability)
Signature: ‘Lazy TE’ mark and full name, signed on the side
Ready to hang: No framing required.
Bring the warmth of Alberta’s neighbourhoods—and a touch of prairie nostalgia—into your home.
