This summer, artist Theresa Eisenbarth captured the beauty of the prairies with a new solo exhibition. Featuring open roads, historic homes, and other familiar sights from "just down the way", Theresa uses her medium to reflect the rich, glowing geography that makes Maple Creek unlike any other small town you've ever found yourself in.

“Landscapes shape who we become, they shaped who I became. I want people to see the magic right outside our window.”

This show includes works inspired by the neighborhoods, especially the historic neighborhood on the “SE Hill” in Medicine Hat.

“Vivid, bold colours inspire me and allow me to re-imagine these spaces. I entice my viewers to take a second look by embedding text, sometimes stories, keys, and door hardware to create substance and interest on the paint surface.”

This exhibit reinforces a “living neighbourhood” and the importance of being connected to your surroundings.

Theresa strives to encapsulate childhood memories of growing up in Southern Alberta in all her paintings and has vividly captured these stories in a series of works featuring historic buildings and sights of Medicine Hat.

Theresa Eisenbarth and the Cypress Club come together to bring an art exhibit and scotch tasting. This show will display many historic buildings and vistas that our beautiful city has to offer.
