Spring Flowers by the Side of the Road

I painted these 10x10’s because I'm praying for rain…. Lots and lots of rain in the sunny south of Alberta. Where I live in Medicine Hat, we have been especially dry for the last five years. We are typically semi-arid desert, but lately, I fear we are leaning towards more of a desert forecast. 🌵I worry about the crops and our farmers, an abundance ( or lack of) growing food. We have been a region rich in food diversity.

Praying for Rain 🌧️: In the sunny south of Alberta, where I call home, the dry spell has lingered for five long years. With worries for our crops and farmers weighing heavy, I've poured my hopes onto these 10x10 canvases. Each piece, titled with ‘Spring,' is a plea for the skies to be kind and bring forth the much-needed rain. Let's rally together for our farmers and this little slice of heaven in the sun-soaked south.
